Just out of sight is a No Motor Vehicles sign, but there's no reason to stop cyclists coming this way (even though they probably won't manage to cycle up the very steep narrow lane).

This road closure should be adapted as a cycle route to a decent crossing at the roundabout.
This is astonishing - an ideal cycle route right next to a primary school, and someone has decided to ban cycling (the sign is unenforceable anyway, but that's another matter).

No Motor Vehicles - it takes cyclists off the A542 only for a short distance anyway.

I think this is going to be a new supermarket - I hope they will fund a decent bit of cycleway along the A5 here.
It's not a compulsory left turn here, it's perfectly possible to go straight ahead - potentially useful for cyclists heading out of Llangollen.

The Cyclestreets routeplanner suggested I went this way - unfortunately it leads to a ford across the Dee, which was particularly high at the time.

No idea why the road to the right is deemed unsuitable for motor vehicles - it's a perfectly normal road with plenty of houses along it, and also the direct route to Ruthin.
